The United States Department of Veterans Affairs is a Cabinet-level executive branch department of the federal government charged with providing lifelong healthcare services to eligible military Veterans at the 170 VA medical centers and outpatient clinics located throughout the country.

The Housing Authority of the City of Waterbury (WHA) was founded in 1953 to provide affordable housing in Waterbury for families who lack the means to purchase or rent housing at market prices. WHA’s mission is to achieve excellence in the housing industry by providing housing opportunities and customer satisfaction to enhance the quality of life for very-low, low and moderate-income residents.

Founded in 2003 as the Windham Region No Freeze Project, Project HOPE provides compassionate housing and homeless services for Eastern Connecticut.

Our organization has evolved from a cold-weather shelter into a comprehensive housing services provider. Our new name reflects our expanded reach and year-round mission.
