The United States Department of Veterans Affairs is a Cabinet-level executive branch department of the federal government charged with providing lifelong healthcare services to eligible military Veterans at the 170 VA medical centers and outpatient clinics located throughout the country.

The Western Connecticut Mental Health Network (WCMHN) was formed in 1996 by the State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), in order to coordinate clinical, fiscal and administrative oversight of Region 5 contracted and state-operated mental health services. Within this service system, there are three state-operated Local Mental Health Authorities, which are located in Waterbury, Danbury and Torrington. In partnership with the Western Connecticut Mental Health Network they provide and coordinate local clinical services.

The Yale Program for Recovery and Community Health promotes the recovery, self-determination, and community inclusion of people facing psychiatric disability and/or addiction through focusing on their strengths and the valuable contributions they have to make to the lives of their communities.
