We serve low-income individuals and families from Tolland and Windham Counties. At the core of the Access mission is our belief in the dignity and value of every individual, regardless of social or economic status. We take a comprehensive approach to looking at the poverty-related issues of individuals and families and then develop individualized plans to help our clients overcome the challenges they face.

All In for Ansonia and Derby is an alliance of neighbors and neighborhood organizations working to make it possible for everyone in Ansonia and Derby to have a safe and joyful place to live, a place where food is secure, and a voice in the decisions that affect our lives.

All In for Milford is an alliance of neighbors, community leaders and local organizations that work together through organizing, education, and policy work to make it possible for everyone in Milford to have what they need to live well together.

All In for Seymour is an alliance of community members and local organizations working to ensure that everyone in Seymour has a place including: a safe and dependable place to live, a place where access to food is secure, a place in the discussions and decisions that affect our lives.  

We are a national nonprofit organization that trains, supports, and sustains family child care providers. Our mission to transform the nation’s child care system results in a triple win: child care providers succeed as business owners; working parents find stable, high-quality care for their children; and children gain an educational foundation that lays the groundwork for achievement. 

The Alliance’s mission is to move healthcare forward by controlling costs, improving quality, and engaging individuals in their health. We serve as the voice of self-funded employers who want more control over their healthcare costs, and who believe that affordable, high-quality care should be accessible to everyone.

Alliance for Living is the only HIV/AIDS service organization and resource center in southeastern Connecticut that also deals with homelessness and assists people dealing with substance use disorder.

The Alpha Community Services YMCA, a Bridgeport area pioneer in providing services dedicated to the homeless, has been a branch of the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA since 1992. The Alpha Community Services Y has grown and expanded its services, striving to provide not just temporary shelter but also a path to a better life for those experiencing homelessness – providing supportive services to over 400 clients each year.

Wheeler Health is a trusted leader in integrated health and human services, reaching more than 90 percent of Connecticut’s cities and towns through five community health centers (Hartford, New Britain, Waterbury, Bristol, and Plainville), mobile care, a therapeutic special education day school, and an array of in-home and community-based programs.

Today, their clinics in Bridgeport, Danbury, Norwalk and Stamford are a lifeline for low-income uninsured residents from across Fairfield County. They care for patients with diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and other chronic conditions, as well as provide treatment for minor injuries and sudden illnesses like the flu.

Their mission is to advocate for and provide services to people living with HIV/AIDS, mental health and substance use disorders, their families, and loved ones and to actively promote education and prevention in the community.

The Association of Religious Communities is a non-denominational interfaith organization with a mission to alleviate the causes of violence, suffering, and hate while advancing peace, justice, and human dignity.

The Barkhamsted Housing Trust is made up of a group of volunteers who care deeply about the Town of Barkhamsted and its residents. They are a non-profit organization working to develop more affordable housing in our community.

For the past 40 years, the Beth-El Center has provided emergency food and shelter programs for the Greater Milford community. While shelter saves lives, housing ends homelessness. Beth-El Center is determined to create a space in which unhoused people can access the appropriate housing-specific and support services necessary to end their homelessness and prevent recidivism.

The mission of Brian Gibbons Homeless Outreach is to locate, engage, and support the homeless and those at risk of homelessness in the Greater Waterbury area in an effort to make appropriate referrals that lead to affordable and safe housing.

Bridge House empowers adults living with persistent mental illness to improve their quality of life. Bridge House has served thousands of members since its inception nearly 30 years ago and we continue to provide a critical safe haven for adults in the Greater Bridgeport area and Fairfield County who are struggling with mental illness.  Their program focuses on employment, education, and housing, connecting members with the resources they need to achieve their goals.

As a member of Yale New Haven Health—Connecticut's leading healthcare system—they offer comprehensive, family-focused services in more than 100 specialties. Bridgeport Hospital provides a full range of medical services—from diagnosis to advanced treatments to care management.

The Bridgeport Police Department is committed to partnering with the community to provide quality police services and to create a safe environment through fair and impartial enforcement of the law. They promote dignity and respect while recognizing the needs of our diverse community in our responsibility to maintain order and protect individual rights.

They provide vital services to men, women, and children facing hunger, homelessness, and addiction, offering help to heal and return to the community whole. Their mission is to fight poverty from the inside out by embracing people with the compassion of Christ, offering hope and healing for a changed life.

The Campaign School at Yale has one mission: Political parity. TCSYale endeavors to increase the number and influence of women in elected and appointed office in the United States and around the globe. We are a nonpartisan, issue-neutral political campaign-training program.

The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG) leads as a catalyst to enhance the quality of life, vibrancy, and vitality of the Greater Hartford region. CRCOG provides planning, programs, and services to its member municipalities and is the region’s designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). CRCOG is a strong advocate for the region and regional solutions.

The mission of Career Resources, Inc. is to be a transformative leader in workforce development, providing comprehensive, innovative, and practical solutions for employers and jobseekers by strengthening the family unit through the dignity of work. CRI is dedicated to improving the employment situation of Connecticut residents in order to mitigate the causes and effects of poverty. 

The CT BHP is a Partnership that consists of the Department of Children and Families (DCF), the Department of Social Services (DSS) and the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). The Partnership’s goal is to provide access to a more complete, coordinated, and effective system of community based behavioral health services and support. 

Their mission is to help the needy and most vulnerable of all faiths to permanently improve their lives. They provide supportive services that enable families to rise up out of poverty, overcome barriers, and achieve self-sufficiency and independence.

For victims of interpersonal violence, CEE provides support services in the form of counseling and advocacy, crisis intervention, and emergency shelter. We empower individuals to find their voice and choose their path toward healing as they rebuild their lives. We are preventing and reducing interpersonal violence in the community through prevention education and awareness.

At CFJ, they offer 24/7 crisis hotlines, shelter, counseling, court advocacy, legal and self-sufficiency services, prevention education and training. These free, confidential services are offered to all adults and children and are delivered in a trauma-informed and inclusive way to anyone dealing with violence.

The Center for Human Development (CHD) provides a broad range of high-quality, community-oriented human services dedicated to promoting, enhancing, and protecting the dignity and welfare of people in need.

The Rowan Center works to prevent sexual violence, respond to crises, and support adult and youth survivors on their path to healing from trauma. The Rowan Center serves all survivors of sexual violence in our eight-town region, regardless of age, sex, immigration status, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or religious or spiritual beliefs.

The mission of Chemical Abuse Services Agency, Inc., better known as CASA, is to provide holistic and culturally competent community-based behavioral health services to individuals, families and communities seeking recovery from addiction, co-occurring disorders and related behavioral health issues. The organization utilizes recovery oriented approaches and evidence-based practices to develop services and operational strategies toward accomplishing this mission.

Chrysalis Center provides supportive services to assist people in need to transform their lives. Through job training, housing and other community healthcare services, Chrysalis Center helps individuals transform their lives.

For 107 years, the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants has built a legacy of leadership, compassionate service and effective advocacy for immigrants, refugees and survivors of human trafficking and torture. At the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants, we strengthen lives and our communities, demonstrate resilience in meeting the evolving needs of generations of immigrants into Connecticut, and have an enduring presence in the community.

Civic Roundtable was launched at Harvard Innovation Labs, driven by the belief that technology has a critical role to play in facilitating government collaboration, and that public servants are key in guiding its development. The Coalition on Diversity & Equity (CoDE) is a 501(c)3 nonpartisan, educational organization, serving the communities of Andover, Columbia, East Hampton, Hebron, and Marlborough. CoDE is led completely by volunteers, who are active members of their community. Our mission is to build more diverse, equitable and vibrant communities. Our goals include increasing community awareness and equal access to housing, education and jobs. 

The Commons Community Development Corporation was created to address need for affordable housing beginning in Hebron and eventually expanding to other communities within Connecticut. Currently, too many individuals and families, including those who work in high income towns with little affordable housing, cannot afford to live there. This includes young professionals, families and seniors. 

The Community Action Agency of Western Connecticut provides social services and programs directly and through partnerships to vulnerable and low-income individuals, families and communities in Western Connecticut to help them achieve self-sufficiency and to improve their lives. 

Community Foundation of Eastern CT brings people together to work towards a healthy, thriving, sustainable Eastern Connecticut with greater equity for all. They achieve this by collaborating with partners to put philanthropy into action to address the needs, rights and interests of our community.

The role and goal of CHC is to transform the way healthcare is delivered. The CHC mission is not just to provide healthcare, but to make sure that the care we provide is the best it can be, and is what best meets the needs of our communities and patients. 

Community Health Network of CT work with patients, healthcare providers, community organizations, and governments to solve complex healthcare problems. It is through their work with Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) recipients that they improve the health and lives of Connecticut residents.

Connecticut Counseling Centers, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation that provides a full range of licensed outpatient substance abuse and mental health prevention, education, and treatment services to assist adults in becoming productive members of society.​

Connecticut Housing Finance Authority is a self-funded, quasi-public organization. Its mission is to alleviate the shortage of housing for low- to moderate-income families and persons in this state and, when appropriate, to promote or maintain the economic development of this state through employer-assisted housing efforts.

CLCC's mission is to elevate and strengthen land conservation in Connecticut. CLCC is the only statewide service provider and voice for all Connecticut land trusts. CLCC is a leader in advocacy and policy, education and training, and technical assistance to empower Connecticut’s ~120 land trusts and ensure the long-term viability of land conservation efforts in the state.

Our mission is to provide access to justice and protect the critical civil legal rights of low-income individuals and families through representation, systemic advocacy, advice, collaboration, and education. We serve low-income families in 122 of the 169 Connecticut communities (our sister agencies serve areas of greater Hartford and greater New Haven). Our service area includes hundreds of thousands of families eligible for our services.

CT Tenants Union organizes for tenant power to ensure every person has access to safe, stable housing. We must build a Connecticut for the multiracial working class—a Connecticut which guarantees a home for all. We must build a Connecticut committed to the well-being of all its citizens.

At The Connection, we understand the complexity of community problems such as homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, and community justice rehabilitation. Our programs aim to solve these problems with care and compassion. We recognize we must help individuals and their families by developing a quality system of care that allows people to seamlessly access a full complement of clinical and community-based service options to meet their unique needs.

Cornwall Housing Corporation (CHC) invests in affordable housing solutions by offering programs and services designed to develop, preserve, and sustain affordable housing throughout Cornwall, Connecutict. Our mission is to provide housing to young adults, families, and seniors in Cornwall, which is critically important especially for those that work and serve in our community. Our core focus is on creating and sustaining these housing options for our town.

The Council of Churches is a faith-based, non-sectarian social services agency dedicated to meeting the needs of people at risk and breaking the cycle of poverty and crisis in the Greater Bridgeport area. We are committed to educating children, feeding the hungry, supporting youth in crisis, guiding former offenders, and building bridges of understanding between all faiths.

Rehabilitation Services (BRS) is part of Connecticut’s Aging and Disability Services (ADS) and helps people with disabilities get ready for, find, and keep jobs. We offer many services tailored to your needs to help you succeed. BRS supports people with serious physical or mental disabilities to prepare for work and grow in their careers. Our goal is to help people with disabilities find competitive jobs.

To prevent and solve homelessness in Connecticut.​ Our mission is to catalyze transformative change to solve homelessness in Connecticut by ensuring effective responses to emergency situations and fostering long-term solutions through collaboration with providers, state agencies, and communities.

Along with organizing the recovery community (people in recovery, family members, friends and allies) to 1) put a face on recovery and 2) provide recovery support services, we also promote recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction through advocacy, education and service. CCAR strives to end discrimination surrounding addiction and recovery, open new doors and remove barriers to recovery, maintain and sustain recovery regardless of the pathway, all the while ensuring that all people in recovery, and people seeking recovery, are treated with dignity and respect.

We also seek to engage the people most affected by the decisions in the data exploration when possible. 

The Department of Children and Families’ (DCF) vision is that CT's children are safe and sound and that they live with loving and supportive families. We partner with communities and families to raise resilient, thriving children. DCF also protects children. We serve as the State's lead agency for kids' mental health.

The Department's responsibility now extends to the reentry of offenders, supervising their return to the community. While our primary mission is to provide safety to the community, our staff and inmates, the Department also provides special assistance to Homeland Security, the State Police, the Department of Transportation and other state departments during emergencies and times of statewide need.

CT Dept. of Mental Health & Addiction Services provides comprehensive, recovery-oriented mental health treatment & substance use disorder prevention/treatment services.

The Department of Social Services (DSS) delivers and funds a wide range of programs and services as Connecticut’s multi-faceted health and human services agency. DSS serves about 1 million residents of all ages in all 169 Connecticut cities and towns. It supports the basic needs of children, families, older and other adults, including persons with disabilities.

The mission of the Connecticut Fair Housing Center is to ensure that all people have equal access to housing opportunities in Connecticut, free from discrimination. In support of our mission, the Center conducts statewide education and outreach to ensure residents understand their fair housing rights and works with state and local governments, housing professionals, and others to promote compliance with federal and state fair housing laws.

CHA's mission is to advance the health of individuals and our communities. We do this by leading, representing and serving hospitals and healthcare providers across the continuum of care that are accountable to the community and committed to health improvement.

CIFC strengthens its communities through health, education, and housing services for individuals and families. CIFC seeks to enhance the well-being of communities through high-quality, accessible services that empower individuals and families to thrive.

The Connecticut Justice Alliance is a youth-adult partnership working to end the criminalization of youth. CTJA works to keep children and youth out of the legal system by disrupting and dismantling the pathways that funnel children and youth into courts and prisons. We also work to make sure youth who are detained, incarcerated, and involved in the courts and legal systems receive safe, fair, and dignified treatment. 

While the organization’s roots are in substance use treatment, we have grown to provide behavioral health, addiction and criminal justice services. Our outpatient, community and residential programs serve adults and adolescents throughout Fairfield and New Haven counties.

DMHAS – Young Adult Services (YAS) was developed to help young adults transition successfully from the Department of Children & Families (DCF) to the adult mental health system and to achieve the necessary skills for adulthood. Our mission is to improve the lives of young people by providing the highest quality services possible.  We do this by forming a partnership with the individual, their family, identified significant persons, and with other community service providers.

We are part of Nuvance Health, a network of seven community hospital locations and numerous outpatient facilities in the Hudson Valley and Western Connecticut. Our patients benefit from the various multispecialty groups and services across the system. Danbury Hospital features advanced technologies, making us a destination for innovative services.

Provides community supervision and support services to individuals on probation, helping promote accountability, rehabilitation, and public safety in the Danbury area.

The mission of the Danbury Police Department is to provide an environment that is free from the fear of crime, where people can enjoy a high quality of life, and the entire Danbury community can prosper. Danbury Police Headquarters is located at 375 Main Street in the city's downtown.

Desegregate CT is a Pro-Homes coalition of neighbors and nonprofits advocating for better local & state land use policies to make every community in Connecticut more prosperous, equitable, and sustainable.

DVCC’s role is to help those experiencing any level of domestic violence and assist them in building a safer environment for the well-being of themselves and their families. Our services include housing and financial advocacy, legal advocacy, trauma-informed individual and group counseling, and emergency safe housing.   All victim services are free and confidential.

Eastern Connecticut Housing Opportunities, Inc. (ECHO) is a Connecticut private, nonprofit corporation established with the mission of improving lives and strengthening communities in eastern Connecticut by providing equitable housing opportunities to individuals and families in the communities in which they work and wish to live.

EdAdvance is one of Connecticut's six Regional Educational Service Centers (RESCs). Our mission as the RESC in western Connecticut is to promote the success of school districts and their communities. Collaboratively with them, we provide educational and related services.  A continuing commitment to quality and excellence is our standard of performance.

The EMERGE model uses transitional employment and engages participants in wrap-around services to break the cycle of recidivism, build community, and inspire hope. We support formerly incarcerated people successfully integrate back into their communities, and seek to remove the shame and stigma of incarceration.

The Community Services Division (CSD) in Stamford is located at the Franklin S. DuBois Center (FSDC) and serves the greater Stamford/Norwalk area.  FSDC is responsible for providing ongoing, individualized treatment to persons living in the community with severe behavioral health disorders who are publicly insured, uninsured and in some cases underinsured.

The Center for Social Impact connects community and campus to create high impact academic opportunities that address local, national, and global challenges and develop individuals committed to creating a more just and equitable world.

The Vision of the Falls Village Housing Trust Inc. is to ensure affordable housing opportunities exist for all community members by expanding options for seniors, disabled  individuals, young adults and working families who want to live in the town of Falls Village, Canaan, CT. The Trust is committed to maintaining the rural character and aesthetic charm of Falls Village.

For more than 80 years, Family & Children's Agency (FCA) has been helping individuals and families throughout Fairfield County and beyond to realize life's possibilities. We increase the social and emotional well-being of our clients by providing strength-based, solution-focused services for every stage of life.

Our Mission: Empowering Children, Adults, Families and Communities to Realize Their Potential. Family Centers achieves this mission by offering a holistic approach aimed to help Fairfield County residents obtain the tools needed to establish a strong educational foundation, overcome complex and critical problems, carry on healthy productive lives and achieve personal improvement.

The mission of the Foundation for Norfolk Living is to create housing opportunities in Norfolk that are affordable to persons and families of modest means.

Our goals include assuring affordable housing opportunities for first time home buyers and renters, for younger adults and families, who are the source of volunteers for important community services, such as the fire department and the ambulance service, as well as senior citizens, who no longer have the means or ability to maintain their homes.

CHC is building a world class primary health care system. We are defining how a full spectrum of health care services – including both physical and mental health – can be delivered where they are needed most. The intent in everything we do is to improve health outcomes for our patients and build healthy communities.

The Friends of Fort Trumbull State Park facilitate access to Fort Trumbull State Park in New London, Connecticut. We have a stated mission to “bring to the visiting public the history of Fort Trumbull” and the surrounding area. 

 New Beginnings, a non-profit, is the sponsoring organization of The "Gathering Place" - a drop in center for the homeless. The "Gathering Place" serves as the local point of entry for all homeless, serving all 26 towns in Litchfield County.  Open every weekday, we offer supports ranging from a hot shower to washing clothes to securing housing to homeless individuals and families.

The goal of MyHomeCT is to cure mortgage delinquencies and defaults, and prevent foreclosures among eligible homeowners that occurred as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The program also includes assistance for qualified non-mortgage expenses including, but not limited to, real estate taxes and insurance as well as condominium or homeowners' association fees.

The Partnership to End Human Trafficking (PEHT) is a nonprofit organization that provides survivors of human trafficking a pathway toward healing and independence through community outreach, residential recovery, and economic empowerment.

Today, Pathways has 4 residential homes with various levels of care. Our local non-residential clients as well as family and friends receive care through our support programs and groups. The mission of the Roxbury Housing Trust is to promote, support and secure permanently affordable housing in the Town of Roxbury, CT.

We offer a Safe Haven for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault by providing free, confidential services in a safe, caring environment; striving to raise awareness through community education and outreach. Our support, counseling and advocacy restores hope and helps people reclaim their lives.

Established as an Official Town Commission in 2010 by the Salisbury Board of Selectmen, the Affordable Housing Commission facilitates and promotes the creation of affordable housing in the town of Salisbury. We meet on the third Thursday of every month at 5:30 PM via Zoom. 

The Salisbury Housing Committee (SHC) is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that has been committed to building and managing affordable rental housing in Salisbury since the 1970s when local churches banded together to create Faith House. We now own and manage Faith House, Sarum Village, and Lakeview Apartments.

The purpose of this corporation is to pursue and achieve the goal of acquiring, building or renovating, and managing housing and related facilities affordable to low- and moderate-income families in the Town of Salisbury, and to do so with care and concern for the general wellbeing of these families and the community at large.

Each individual is addressed as a whole person with physical, emotional and spiritual needs. The Samaritan House Inc. will improve health equity and dismantle health disparities through education, information, and advocacy. The Southeastern CT Enterprise Region (seCTer) is the designated private, non-profit Economic Development Organization providing a broad range of services and resources to stimulate and support economic development and diversification within the region. seCTer primarily serves the businesses, residents and municipalities of New London County and the Town of Windham.

The Sharon Housing Authority (SHA) was established in 1987 thanks to the efforts of First Selectman Bill Wilbur and his successor Bob Moeller. Both of these men were focused on the growing need for affordable housing in Sharon. As a result, Sharon Ridge, a moderate-income affordable rental housing complex, was opened in January 1992. The success of this initiative is confirmed by the fact that these apartments continue to remain fully occupied. 

The Sharon Housing Trust is dedicated to increasing the availability of affordable housing in Sharon, a small, largely rural, historic town in one of the least affordable regions of Connecticut. 

The Shiloh Development Corporation (SDC) is a private non-profit corporation, which operates the Shiloh Family Life Center (SFLC), located in the heart of New London, CT. The mission of SDC is to meet the needs of the community through creative programs across generational, socio-economic, and cultural lines. Utilizing its key resource, the SFLC, Shiloh Development Corporation addresses the needs of the community and is committed to the uplifting of the people it serves.

SilverSource provides a safety net to seniors in need, to keep a roof over their heads, with the heat and lights on, food on the table and the medical care they need.

The Southeastern Connecticut Community Land Trust (SE CT CLT) is a membership-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that holds land for the development and stewardship of permanently affordable housing, land for food production, green space, and facilities for community organizations. SE CT CLT works to support access to affordable home ownership, advance community development, promote social justice, and further neighborhood revitalization across Southeastern Connecticut.

The Southeastern Connecticut Council of Governments (SECOG) is a public agency with representatives from twenty-two towns, cities, and boroughs, formed to provide a basis for intergovernmental cooperation in dealing with a wide range of issues. SECOG membership also includes the Mohegan and Mashantucket-Pequot Tribes, the CT Department of Transportation, and Southeast Area Transit (SEAT).

The Southeastern Connecticut Housing Alliance (SECHA) was incorporated in 2006 as an advocacy organization, dedicated to promoting affordable housing in southeastern Connecticut. SECHA took the place of the Blue Ribbon Panel for Housing, which was formed following a 2002 study of housing needs in the region. Today, SECOG and SECHA work closely, with SECOG providing administrative and program support to SECHA.

Thames River Community Service is an essential organization providing housing and support services to formerly homeless residents, primarily of New London County. In our main building 21 parents ages 18-24 and their young children reside in one of 21 apartments. Additionally, we serve area youth in the community who are at risk of homelessness. The WCHT is a non-profit organization dedicated to establish and maintain affordable housing in the Town of Washington. With the help of Town, State and many generous donors, WCHT has developed 37 affordable apartments between its three properties. 

The Washington Housing Commission was established by a prior Board of Selectmen in 2005 with the intent of creating a template to study, analyze, and prioritize the housing needs, both current and long term of the Town of Washington's citizenry and to recommend and facilitate the accomplishment of the comprehensive housing policies and goals.
