State and local officials convene in Cornwall, CT to celebrate the beginning of a new program that will support the construction of 10 new affordable homes in 5 towns.

This event brings together local community organizers in areas of housing, healthcare, and education to reflect on the meanings of "unfreedom" in their practice.

So you're passionate about housing. What now? Speakers from statewide advocacy groups will share best practices so you can become an effective housing advocate at the town and state level.  

We are screening then discussing the documentary “Fighting for Home: How Housing Policy Keeps Connecticut Segregated,” an important new film produced by CT Public about land use, housing, and equity. 

To kick off the Housing Justice Series at a new location in Willimantic, Partnership for Strong Communities Policy Director Sean Ghio will define housing justice and provide an overview of the housing landscape in Connecticut. Lunch will be provided.
