Building Power With Our Neighbors

Please join us for a community organizing training designed for anyone who is part of a grassroots organization in their town, or planning to help build one. This is an all-day training, starting at 9am (breakfast/coffee available at 8:30am) and ending at 5pm. We ask that everyone commit to being there all day, but we recognize that some may not be able to.
During this training, participants will:

  • Learn the basics of community organizing, building broad-based coalitions across difference
  • Understand what it means to build power and why we have to do it
  • Build and deepen relationships, expand our “we” and teach others to do the same
  • Get hands-on practice in basic organizing skills

Spanish language translation will be available. Participants requiring translation in other languages, please let us know. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Stipends are available for participants needing support to miss a day of work, and/or needing childcare. Registration information in Spanish can be found here also.
