The Way Forward: A New Narrative for Housing in Fairfield County

Created By

  • and 3 partners in our collective impact network

Fairfield County’s Center for Housing Opportunity partnered with sociologist and systems change expert Dr. Tiffany Manuel, President and CEO of TheCaseMade, to better understand how Fairfield County residents feel about housing affordability and related issues like education and economic development, in order to deliver a series of messaging recommendations based on our research: The Way Forward: A New Narrative for Housing in Fairfield County.

For decades, housing advocates and practitioners have been waging an uphill battle against public opinion to create affordable homes because the narrative that affordable housing is good for communities has and continues to fall largely on deaf ears. In order to build public will for the creation and preservation of equitable housing options in Fairfield County and beyond, we need a new narrative.
