Workplan for 2024
- Continue to provide project management and capacity building support to 15 volunteer led affordable housing organizations supporting an affordable housing pipeline of 323 units in 18 developments.
- Provide strategic pre-development seed funding for at least 3 new affordable housing projects to allow these non-profits to determine project feasibility and next steps more quickly and efficiently.
- Launch our new acquisition revolving loan fund to allow our non-profits to move quickly when an opportunity arises and build the pipeline of additional affordable housing units.
- Launch the $2 million PATH III program to build 10 scattered site affordable homeownership homes in 5 towns in our region (Salisbury, Cornwall, Norfolk, Washington, and Torrington)
- Assist our region’s housing non-profits with accessing state, federal, and private funding to construct or renovate these new affordable homes.
- Continue our work on the Northwest CT Affordable Housing and Conservation Collaboration which is bringing together local housing organizations, local and regional conservation organizations, and town leaders to develop the strategies and relationships needed to achieve both our affordable housing and conservation goals in each of our communities.
- Work with Litchfield County non-profits to implement the strategies in our new Playbook and Toolkit for “Building Community Support for Affordable Housing in Litchfield County” to activate a broader group of people to support affordable housing developments as they go through the local approvals and development process.
